2.1 billion are obese, costing the world $2 trillion a year

The McKinsey Institute notes that worldwide, there are more than 2.1 billion people who qualify as overweight or obese, a figure which amounts to an astounding 30% of the population. The study also found that there are actually more people who are overweight or obese than there are adults and children who are undernourished across the globe, costing $2 trillion a year.
