How to Solve Girls’ Poverty in Developing Nations

The Girl Effect, a movement to raise the status of girls (started by the Nike Foundation and partners including the United Nations Foundation in 2008) provides resources for elevating the status of girls.  The Girl Declaration launched in 2013 was an effort to include solutions in the post-2015 development agenda. The Coalition for Adolescent Girls: Poverty Ends with Her includes more than 40 international organizations working to lift girls out of poverty, providing reports on its website.  The International Center for Research on Women aims to empower girls and women in developing nations with reports and toolkits.  Betsy Teutsch collected 100 tools under $100 to empower women in developing countries.
