Paloma in Puerto Rico wrote on the feminist book club Our Shared Shelf, “As a Latina woman, I recommend Esmeralda Santiago, Isabel Allende, Cherríe Lawrence Moraga, Julia Álvarez, and Sandra Cisneros. Other members added Borderlands by Gloria Anzaldua, Xicana Codex of Changing Consciousness by Cherrie Moraga,
Disidenifications by Jose Munoz, and Giaconda Belli The Inhabited Women.
